2005-06-24 Stoptech 14in Big Brake Kit

Stoptech 14 inch BBK is part of my M3 motor project, but I figured some of the M3 guys would wanna see the kit and how it compares with other BBKs...

Packaged a little differently that Brembo GT's...easier to carry...

One box for each corner...tricky thing is that they put both pads in one box and both caliper holders in the other...I thought I was missing a whole $hit load of stuff...

14inch...slotted...

This thing is like a steak...

YaY...instructions...

Massive...just massive caliper...black power coated...quad piston love...

Caliper holder and stainless steal teflon wrapped brake lines...

Axxis brake pads...

Here's a little comparo...

Here are my old brakes (E46 M3 stock)...for sale $200...pads and rotors still in good shape...Click for more pix...

Ok on to the install...locktite...

Bolted to stock mounts...

So the rotors come sprayed with this anti-rust film...stoptech includes about 4 huge notices and on every other page of the manual to give it a bath...=)

Nothing like some watermellon smelling rotors...

Scruba dub dub...

Air dry...

Mounted...

Whoo hoo...

A lil motion...

Caliper time...remove bridge...

Pads...

Caliper mounted...

Pads slide in like cartridges...

This thing is nutssss...kinda looks like some teeth...

Clip and bridge...

Anti-seize...
