BMW OEM Chrome Grille

Abstract - The original grille with black slats just looks cheap on a BMW. I wanted the look of the 328i, and there was an upgrade available

Purchase - Bought new from Pacific BMW mail order division.

Parts - BMW P/N: 63-17-2-228-613 - Chrome Grille Right(CHECK)

            BMW P/N: 63-17-2-228-614 - Chrome Grille Left(CHECK)

Installations - The package did not include directions. Installation is pretty strait forward; its hard to install it wrong. The old grille popped out, the new grille popped in. Yes, that simple.

Impressions - At first I did not like the new look. I felt that the chrome slats looked good, but now they looked too close together. Over time, I got more and more used to the look and now I love it. There is also the Hamann shadow grille available. It is basically a completely blacked out grille. I really like that look, but on darker colored cars. Chrome and titanium silver match really well.

Conclusions -  Basically, this mod comes down to taste. To me the original grille just looked like two black holes, I felt the chrome grille really pronounced the look of the car.
